PICKLES & PEPPERMINTS MEMOIR
” Have you ever had a pickle with a peppermint? If not try it!
I’m a foodie! My mother signed me up for cooking classes when I was young. Learning how to blend foods into art became a passion, so much til it was natural.
I would be up in the middle of the night making homemade French fries or any other simple foods, I could transform into my version of a gourmet meal. Sometimes I’d get caught up, distracted, and almost burn the kitchen down. But, I got better, as I got older.
My love for creating foods and different snacks bled into my conversation. Meaning: I would associate food with a time or experience.
Well, Pickles and Peppermints reminded me of something sweet and sour. Good and Bad, ya know?!
Someone said, ‘there is no light without darkness.’ My goal through each experience was to have balance.
While this volume highlights some dramatic experiences, there were a lot of amazing moments I will never forget. But for purpose of displaying where my strength was established; it would only be fitting for me to introduce YOU to who SHE was- before she saw the Eagle!”
